Evie Brooks is Marooned in Manhattan by Sheila Agnew - ADVISABLE

Agnew, Sheila Evie Brooks is Marooned in Manhattan, 219 pages. pajama press, 2015. Language-PG (5 swears, 0 "f"s) Mature Content-G; Violence-G;

Evie Brooks had no father and sadly, no longer has a mother. Her mother's will left guardianship to Evie's uncle, Steve. Evie would prefer to stay with her godmother in Ireland, but Steve convinces her to be with him in New York at least until the end of summer. As the days pass in a blur, Evie realizes New York is a lot better than she could have imagined, and she is no longer certain she wants to go back to Ireland.

I thought it was a fun book, great enough for me to want to read the next one. I liked how calm it was, and how mild the problems she faced were.

Might have to take a look at this. It might have only been available in paperback? For some reason, I never picked this up.
