Ollie’s class is going on a class trip. Since this is a first for Ollie, his imagination takes over as to where and what will happen. Are they going to the moon? No. Are they sliding down a rainbow? No. How will they get there? Kites? No. In between each journey into Ollie’s creative mind there is a dose of reality…Ollie can’t find his buddy what should he do? Tell his teacher. Yes. Eventually all the Yes’s of a safe field trip are laid out.
What a fantastic book for Kindergarten teachers! I can’t think of a better introduction to the concept of field trips and to start a discussion about the rules and expected behavior. The artwork wasn’t my favorite but its creative and the pages are large and easy to show off. I am showing this to the teachers ASAP.
