The story is the song “All I Want for
Christmas is You”. The illustrations take a different interpretation on the song with a little girl who is
dreaming of having a dog that she saw at the pet adoption center. She asks Santa and draws pictures of it and
on Christmas morning it seems as though she hasn’t gotten her wish, but the dog
is left on the front porch and she is happy.
The illustrations are bright and cute and the little girl and her dog
are adorable. I was disappointed in the
story even though it was a new take on an old song. There are better Christmas books out
there.
