Paddington saves up his bun money and takes the Brown family to
a famous department store to meet Santa. As they go on the little train ride
that’s part of the fun, Paddington notices many things wrong. He is very upset
and hides. The department store gets marketing when the story hits the news and is able to fix up the ride, and
he finally gets to meet Santa.
I know there was a Paddington movie, but I really don’t hear the
students talking about it. We have a few books that haven’t been checked out,
like ever. This picture book feature a really long story, where all the action
happens as news “advertising”, which young children aren’t going to understand.
Additionally the ride component is just confusing. The illustrations are
adorable.
