Are you a grandparent who has your grandchildren spend the night - or do you WISH they would com play with you? Then try this picture book to inspire you, your children, and your grandchildren to spend more time together.
Llama Llama is going to visit his grandparents for an overnight-er. He forgets his favorite stuffed animal in his mom’s car and although he has lots of fun doing all the activities his grandparents have planned, he is distracted by his missing friend. When it is time to go to bed his emotions get the better of him and he starts to cry. His grandpa lets him borrow his stuffed toy from when the grandpa was little and Llama Llama is able to go to sleep.
The illustrations in this book are bright and the llamas are adorable. The sweet relationship between Llama Llama and his grandparents is depicted well and the fears that come with staying somewhere different are covered. This is a cute fun read.
