Jem and his Dad fix up a camper van using spare parts at a junk yard and a plane engine.  They travel to Paris and park on the Eiffel Tower and then tour around Africa only to be kidnapped by Tiny Jack.  Jem repairs Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and then they run away to find their parents.  They go home together but get lost for awhile.  In the end they are reunited and travel home together.  

I thought that is was a cool story about world traveling and a little bit of action.  All together the book was a fun read.  I think many other teens would like it also.
