Clark the shark is determined to make an impression for Anna Angelfish’s birthday. His friend helps him out with some ideas, but Clarks well meaning intentions don’t always pan out. In fact, he can’t seem to get Anna’s attention at all. Will Clark find the perfect gift in time? Will he be able to show how much he likes her?
Time for another news flash, the boys that choose this book, aren’t much interested in romancing girls. I think this one missed the mark. I like how Clark doesn’t give up, turns to friends for advice, and tries his best. The illustrations are bright and fun with large pages for showing off during a read-aloud.
