Ruby is a friendly bird who is curious about other birds. She befriends many different types of birds
who show her how to see the world in new and exciting ways. When she comes across a bird who doesn’t want
to be her friend, Ruby has to be brave and still go out and make other
friends. She eventually finds a tree
full of birds like her and gathers all of her new friends together.
Ruby is a great example of enjoying friends
and learning from others. I liked the
moral of the story that making friends isn’t always easy, but we can learn a
lot from different types of friends. The
illustrations are whimsical and use soft colors.
