In this counting book, cute little chooky birds work together to get an extra-long (and apparently, stubborn) worm out of the ground. They get more and more help from their friends and they pull and pull only to find that the worm is no worm at all, but a shoelace from a big, heavy boot.
I love the illustrations in this book. They are different and textural and very attention grabbing. The text is very repetitive and the story seems to take a long time to progress. I found the story fairly uninteresting.
