Chirp is an adorable little chick that is on her way to Aunti Duck’s to celebrate her birthday. Along the way she encounters Bear and Bird who make it very difficult for Chirp to find, AND KEEP, the gifts she wants to bring to her Aunti. Read to find out if Chirp can find the perfect gift and make it to Aunti’s safely.  This fun, playful lift-the-flap book has bright colors and surprises on many pages that will keep little ones interested.  The plot of the story is cute but the author missed the mark for me.  The illustrations are adorable and the fact that this in an interactive picture book made up the difference. The front and back cover of the book show pictures of many springtime insects, critters and animals that would be fun to share with toddlers.  Pre-K. OPTIONAL. Reviewer: SL.
