We loved this book! We never anticipated the hidden surprise at the end of the story! It is absolutely one of our favorites. This book has many applications in the classroom: brainstorming solutions to Ernest’s dilemma; different ways to look at what seems an impossible situation; self esteem; and friendship. EL (K-3).
