Seven Sorcerers by Caro King - OPTIONAL

King, Caro Seven Sorcerers, 324 p. Aladdin (Simon), 2011.  $16.

Content: G.

Last night Little Toby was there;  this morning Nin is the only one who remembers him.  While Nin is determined to find Toby and retrieve him, Bogeyman Skerridge is after her too.  She must make to journey, along with Jonas, to the Drift, a land endangered by a plague and the Seven Sorcerers who could have saved the land are all dead.  Nin is racing against time and evil – to save herself and her brother she must take desperate steps.

Lots of detail, lots of danger and excitement, this is pretty standard fantasy fare.  I am not sure that it will stand out amongst the flood of fantasy that is currently available.  It looks to have a sequel.  Too bad – it could have been a better stand alone.  I am kind of tired of series and so are lots of other librarians I talk to.
