Just right for Two by Tracey Corderoy –ADVISABLE

Corderoy, Tracey Just right for Two 32 pgs, Nosy Crow, 2014. $15.99 PICTURE BOOK
Dog is very happy, he can watch the moon rise from the comfort of his suitcase, which is filled with the little things he loves. One day he wakes up to a mouse asleep with him on his suitcase and they have a fun game of tag. After Mouse leaves, Dog is sad, but just can pinpoint why. Mouse helps him look, and eventually Dog discovers he was missing something that he didn’t even know he needed.
This story has a sweet message that everyone needs a friend in their life. I think students will question the whole sleeping on top of a suitcase thing (ouch!), which is odd. (I can already imagine the hands being raised to point this out). The illustrations are darling and readers will just want to cuddle up with the mouse and the dog.
