The alternating sections of fact and fiction are jarring at times, and they make it hard to keep any sort of thread going from one page to the next. The information is interesting, however, and may be helpful for students studying Australia or unusual animals. For those who prefer an empathetic approach to their subjects, the fictional account provides more insight into kangaroos' lives beyond just the straight facts.
