Shadow of the War Machine by Kristin Bailey - ADVISABLE

Bailey, Kristin Shadow of the War Machine, 433 p. Simon Pulse, 2015.  $18.

Violence: PG (mild).

The man with the clockwork mask is still out there, threatening everything that Meg holds dear.  A few days before she is to swear an oath to the Amusementists, she finds pretty solid proof that her beloved grandfather may still be alive.  No of her friends will believe her, however, until Will comes from Scotland to accompany her on the dangerous journey.  Not only does she have to watch for traps set by her enemies, but the traps of society could also spoil all of her dreams.

Bailey brings the Secret Order series to a satisfying conclusion, including a final chapter set in the near future to round things out.

MS, HS – ADVISABLE.
