Zolotow, Charlotte and Charlotte Voake Say It! Chadwick Press, 2015. $15.99. PICTURE BOOK. An adorable little girl and her mother take a walk on a golden, windy autumn day.  They see a kitten, notice the color of the leaves, come across a dog, and enjoy the fluff from some milkweed that floats by.  With each new discovery, the little girl says to her mother, "Say it."  The mother then replies with comments like, "It's a golden, shining, splendiferous day!".  "No," said the little girl. "That's not what I mean." Near the end of the book, after many fun adventures and beautiful illustrations, the mother finally says the phrase the little girls was waiting for all along. We loved the sentimentality in this great book.  The pictures are beautiful and inviting.  The story is simple yet sweet.  This is the perfect snuggle time book!  Pre-K.  EL (K-3). ADVISABLE.
