Lily is back in her own house and she has
brought Rowan with her. As she recovers
from her wounds, she realizes that the government has been very suspicious of
her disappearance. As Rowan tries to
build a coven for Lily in her own world, a person from Rowan’s world causes
trouble for Lily and her friends. In an
effort to protect everyone from the government, Lily takes her new coven back
to Rowan’s world, which is still in the middle of a war. As secrets are kept and secrets are revealed,
the pressure is on for Lily to protect Rowan’s world, but at a steep cost.
The story line of the Worldwalker series is
interesting and creative. The rules for
the world and clear and easy to navigate through as the reader. This book has moments were it feels like a second
book and slows down, and her friends willingness to believe her magic wasn’t
very realistic, but the characters and story are good enough that it doesn’t
make me want to stop reading. The violence
is gruesome including dismemberment and cannibalism.
