Maxwell is a Ninja. He has all the tools (a stick, gloves, black clothes, a rope) he knows all the moves (he sneaks, tumbles, creeps and hides) and he’s brave and silent enough to sneak up on people. But when his sister is having cookies and milk, and Maxwell Ninja manages to steal them, he’s in trouble and must relinquish his ninja powers.
This mostly pictures book’s illustrations are fantastic - the pictures tell most of the story. I like his relationship with his sister (although he did steal her cookies) and the great fantasy world Maxwell has created is wonderful and exciting and he’s a great Ninja. This will be a favorite.
