Lily Proctor is disabled by all of her food, drink and environmental
allergies. She loves her mother (even
though Lily’s mom seems to be losing her grip on reality) her sister and her
best friend, Tristan. Tristan is a bit
of a player, and Lily has secretly liked him for a long time, but when he
betrays her trust, Lily feels like she wants to escape. So she listens to the voice inside her head
and finds herself in another dimension where the Lily there is powerful, and
corrupt, but Lily Proctor realizes that she can be something better.
This story moves along quickly and is fun to
follow. The characters are likable and
the rules for the fantasy elements are easy to understand. The violence is pretty disgusting and the
mature content is nudity. The ending
leaves the reader completely hanging-super frustrating, but the next book is
already out, so that helps.
