In one man’s backyard lives a world full of birds, animals, and insects all having fun and adventures, unbeknownst to him. Birds are getting into mischief with his socks, caterpillars are trying to save worms for birds, and squirrels are trying to get their winter acorn supplies ready. Features small panels and even smaller text.
Far from bifocal years, I really could have used a magnifying glass to read this book better. The illustrations themselves show a lot of personality. The little mini-stories are ok, some better than others. Overall this was a hum drum read for me. I probably wouldn’t add it to my library, but it might make a fun gift for a child going through a phase where they are interested in insects or nature.
