A re-telling of the classic rhyme, with a farm theme. A buzzing fly annoys the animals into a series of accidents, which create quite a mess on the farm. Zach has been making a barn with blocks and finally notices the ruckus and gets to work.
This book features charming illustrations and a wonderful rhyming scheme. We have quite a few
re-tellings of this rhyme, but this one is my new favorite as it features farm animals, a topic that the Kindergarten learn each year before their trip to a local farm. I also like, from a grown-up perspective, that the little boy is responsible and a hard worker. Student readers will enjoy all the chaos the fly causes.
