Ray, Mary Lyn. Go to Sleep, Little Farm, BOARD BOOK. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2014. $8.99. In this night time book, a little girl goes through her bedtime routine while the animals and objects around her go to sleep as well. A bear finds a bed in a log. Brown rabbits snuggle in a sleepy rabbit sleep. And a worm sleeps in the dirt. The little girl is tucked in and kissed goodnight by her parents and begins to dream. In general this was an adequate book. I felt like the flow of the story could have been better because it seemed to settle on a pattern or theme and then suddenly changed so that it was oddly inconsistent. The pictures are enjoyable and I enjoyed the silly aspects like a story falling asleep in a book, but not the best bedtime story I’ve ever read. Content: G. PRE-K-K –OPTIONAL.
