Winter loves playing with her pet polar bear named Flurry. They spend all their time together, including destroying their home in a chase game (don’t worry it fixes itself), making snowcaves, and eating candy canes. When Flurry gets jealous of a baby artic fox, he runs away. Winter enlists the help of her season enchanted sisters; Spring, Autumn, and Summer to help. But when their search takes them into the dreaded border land they must face the Weeds-wild boys to get him back.
This book made me want to go brush my teeth, it was sickly sugar coated sweet. Don’t get me wrong, I like books that are a wonderful escape from a sometimes harsh reality but this is OVER THE TOP. Its cringe worthy. Plus I didn’t like the boys vs girls battle that reinforces stereotypes. The danger was also a bit too scary –like a giant mouse trap. I really did not the house that could be destroyed by reckless games, but fixes itself. (I don't think parents would like that one either) You can have a book that is both an escape into happiness and a quality read, but its not this one.
