Ryan has been the faithful catcher and best friend for his charismatic friend Josh, the star pitcher of his school’s baseball team for long enough.  Josh is getting out of control and after his latest escapade Ryan doesn’t want to lie for him any more - even if it means their championship bound baseball team will lose their play maker.

Yeah, Houghton Mifflin has reprinted one of my favorite baseball books.  Dauker is a go-to author when it comes to sports stories of all stripes.  All of his books still circulate strongly at SOJO middle.
