Meet the traditions for the Dia De Los Muertos.
Ballesteros’ illustrations are fantastic! I would buy the book just
for those. The text is written in iambic pentameter, which forces you
into a “Night Before Christmas” cadence and is interspersed with more difficult
spanish words, so if you are reading aloud make sure you practice first!
There is a glossary in the back, but no pronunciation guide, so if you
try to read this as a class, the students will need help.
