Tish Rabe has
written several Dr. Seuss-like books for the series The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That. This book plays on Dr. Seuss’s book “Oh, The
Places You’ll Go,” but from the viewpoint of a baby. The book is designed specifically to read to
unborn babes as well as the babes of all sizes already out.
The baby is introduced to almost all the main characters in the Dr.
Seuss canon, from Grinch to Horton. And
like, “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” it talks about the ups and downs, and ins and
outs of life. The illustrations are
friendly and familiar and entirely Seussian.
Not much originality and doesn’t have the depth that “Oh, The Places You’ll
Go” has, but if you are looking for a stupendium compendium of all of Seuss’s children'
s works, this is a great overview.
