The girls of the Critter Club are thrilled to care for a piglet named Plum. Then Ellie has a series of wonderful things happen in her life: a moved dentist appointment, a great test grade, and landing the lead in the school play. She decides the two things must be related; Plum is a good luck pig! When Plum is adopted by a local farmer, Ellie is worried that her good luck streak is over.
This series has really grown on me! Pet books are SO popular with first and second graders and this is the perfect wholesome read for them. The covers are ADORABLE and the content always has a sweet message and is full of charming illustrations. But here is the kicker; its just the right balance of cheer; not sickly sweet and over the top like the popular Magic Kitten/puppy/bunny series.
