Doyle, Elizabeth. A B See, BOARD BOOK. Little Simon, 2015. $8.99. This is an alphabet book in which the letters are created with pictures of items that begin with that same letter (“A” is made of an alligator, an acrobat, an accordion, and more). The letters are described by some of their illustrations related to one another below each one. The pictures in each letter are raised for a textural appeal and they are drawn in a realistic, somewhat old-fashioned style. There is a listing of all of the items that make up each letter in the back of the book. I love this spin on the typical alphabet book. The pictures are really unique, as well as the language. It feels classy yet my toddler loves to find the pictures of things that she knows and touch the raised letter illustrations. The listing of pictures in the back is helpful and a fun way to increase the reader’s vocabulary. Content: G. PRE-K-K –ESSENTIAL. Reviewed by: Shay, School Librarian
