Delilah fell in love with Oliver, a prince in a fairy tale book that she
found at the library. Now that Oliver
has found his way into Delilah’s real world, by trading places with the author’s
son Edgar, she has to help Oliver fit in at school and convince Edgar’s mother
that he is her son. While Delilah has
her own complications in the real world, the fairy tale world within the book
is also having troubles and trying to correct the changes and return to its
original version. When Edgar’s mother
gets sick, the characters from the book and the people in Delilah’s reality
have to come together and make compromises.
This is a creative sequel to Between the Lines. The mistakes that a fairy prince makes in a
modern high school are humorous, yet the book also touches on serious topics
such as family and death. I enjoyed this
fun read and it is easy to recommend because of its clean content.
