The little tree is beautiful, but he is also selfish. He won’t let anything land or nest in his
branches, because he doesn’t want anything to spoil his magnificence. When autumn comes and his leaves turn color
and fall, it takes one of those he scorned to explain what is actually
happening to him.
Being kind of the opposite of The Giving Tree, this is a cute
little book to launch a discussion of the seasons, or to take about sharing and
friendship.
