Lucy is being bullied by the other ladybugs because she has
no spots. She goes out into the woods
and finds other animals which are willing to share their spots with her. When she returns to her ladybug home, she
realizes that being different is not a bad thing at all.
You can go deep and philosophical with this book with older
readers or keep it light and humorous with a younger crowd. I will be adding this to my library
collection because it would also make a great short scene for our theater
students to practice play-writing with.
