This is a book of 28 fables retold in graphic novel format by well known graphic novel authors. Some of the fables re-imagined are the Lion and the Mouse, The Fox and the Grapes, The Dog and his Reflections, and the Crow and the Pitcher. As each small story is by a different artist, there is wide variation in the quality of artwork and the ease of reading.
While some of the stories were more obscure than others, overall this was a very fun read. I liked some more than others, and wished that each story had including a ‘moral’ at the end, to make it an easier read for the students. My favorite was the fox and the crow. I would add this to my library and put it in a display with some more classic fable stories.
