Scott, Elizabeth. Between Here and Forever. 250 pgs. Simon Pulse, 2011. $16.99
Language R (20 swears, 5 ‘f’) Sexual Content PG, Violence G. Abby’s sister, Tess, hit a patch of ice on New Years Day and slammed into a tree, and has been in a coma ever since. And Abby wants her back, but not for the right reasons. She thinks that while Tess is in a coma it becomes more and more obvious every day that Abby is nothing like her beautiful, magnetic, charming sister. But while hunting for a way to wake Tess up, Abby realizes that Tess had some secrets that made her not-so-perfect after all. I really liked this book. Through Tess, Abby realizes that being perfect isn’t everything, and that Abby herself is worth more that she thought she was. High School- Advisable. Student Reviewer: AL
