Alpha Better is a dictionary of made up
word combinations that creates positive new words like “Radazzling,” which is
Radiant + Dazzling. Gorgeously illustrated, the pictures are happy and
cheerful, just like the positive message of the words the book combines. I
found myself flipping through the pages over again just to enjoy the pictures.
Although I really loved the illustrations and the upbeat and encouraging nature
of the word combinations I could see younger children having trouble figuring
out how to pronounce the new words, while older children should enjoy the silly
fun of them.
