With
text like an level 2 or 3 early reader, this book features basic information
about the Plesiosaur. The text starts in a story format and moves to more
factual. There are quite a few compare/contrast. Accompanied by dark underwater
illustrations.
I
thought this book would be confusing for young readers and too babyish for
older readers. Because it is sort of an early reader format, there is simple
text on one page and an image on another. This made information on other creatures mentioned difficult to visually display, not to mention size and scale.
All of the illustrations show water beautifully but its overall very dark and
unappealing.
