Engledow, Dave The Little Girl Who Didn’t Want to go to
Bed. Harper, 2017. $18.
978-0062425379
A little girl is so sure that her parents are having fun
without her after she goes to bed that she comes with elaborate tricks and
excuses to stay awake. In order to get
to sleep, she tries a variety of strange activities, but nothing works until
she sleeps through the next day which was full of wonderful daytime
surprises.
I had never seen Dave Engledow’s Facebook page before this
book came out. Now I am afraid that I
could spend way too much time look at all of the hilarity. A very fun book to remind a reluctant sleeper
why going to bed can be very important.
Pre-K, EL (K-3) – ADVISABLE.
