The Bear ate your Sandwich by Julia Sarcone-Roach –OPTIONAL

Sarcone-Roach, Julia The Bear ate your Sandwich Knopf Books for Young Readers, 2015. $16.99 PICTURE BOOK
This story features an unknown narrator telling an unknown audience about the story of a how their sandwich came to be eaten by a bear. The bear was in the forest, but his hunger led him into the back of a truck, which took him into the city, led him through many adventure, and finally into the park, where the sandwich was alone. Will the bear get home? Will the narrator’s “story” be believed by its audience?
This is not a book I would share in a read-aloud as it has very tiny pictures in parts and the artwork is very blurry and abstracted. At times I really didn’t care for the art, while other pages could be framed and displayed their were so enchanting. The story itself is nice but didn’t really jump out at me as something I would want to add to the library collection.
