Charlie is a cattle herding dog, so he is thrilled when its time to go and herd some cattle. He prides himself on being calm and good at this job. When a little calf runs off, Charlie knows to herd it back, but together they fall into a mud pit. Will Charlie be able to maintain his cool and think of a way to save them both?
This was a cute book about a dog who lives up to what he claims to be. The illustrations are harmonious and Charlie provides cover appeal for readers. A level one early reader that is basic and easy for younger readers.
