Victor
Frankenstein is heartbroken since his twin Konrad has passed on. Victor believes he can find a way to
communicate with Konrad and maybe bring him back from the dead, so when he
finds a portal to the other side he convinces his two best friends to come with
him. Victor, using an ancestor’s
research, puts his plan into action, awaking a dark creature below the castle
as well as tapping into a dark part of himself.
This is a fast paced story loosely based on Frankenstein and it's the sequel to The Dark Endeavor. Victor’s best friends, Henry and Elizabeth,
are great minor characters. Victor's arrogance and God-complex propel the story line and his friends who know better fall into his sordid plans. It has super
creepy moments and the arrogant main character can be frustrating at times, but
it’s a fun adventure into the other world and coming to terms with life and
death. Good boy book.
