Em and Matt have abilities of both Animares
and Guardians, putting them under to close watch of the Council who can take
their powers away if Em and Matt are seen as dangerous. But being striped of
their powers isn't the only thing Em and Matt have to worry about. Their
abilities are growing in a way they didn't know was possible and their mum has
disappeared. How are Em and Matt supposed to solve these problems if no one
will let them do anything but sit around?
First of all, this is not a book you
can just jump into, like I did. You should read the prequel before starting
this one. Second, I could not get invested in Em and Matt's story. It was hard
to read because it flipped between the present and the past for reasons
unexplained until halfway through. Nonetheless, I love the initial idea of
being able to go into paintings and time travel to when they were made. It's
sad that such a cool idea didn't have a more enjoyable story with it.
MS - OPTIONAL.
