This simple book explains to young readers some of the animals they will see at the zoo, such as monkeys, giraffe, and sea lions. It features bright photographs.

I was excited to read this because each year our younger grade classes go on a field trip to the zoo. But this book did not really explain what a zoo is, what happens at a zoo, or why we have zoo’s. It focuses on just a short variety of specific animals instead. I would like a book on this topic, I just wouldn’t add this book to my library.
