This is the follow-up book to van de Vendel’s A Dog Like
Sam. Sam has become part of Kix’s
family. But he is getting old and acting
different. Then one day, Sam disappears
and the family cannot find him.
This second book was a less engaging read than the first
book. The topic of the book, a lost dog, is geared towards younger elementary
readers. However, the writing is
targeted more towards older students with its mature content and language. Like the first book, this is translated from
Dutch and based on true events.
EL – OPTIONAL.
