A noisy group of pirates are roaming through the neighborhood searching for candy booty on Halloween night. 

Am I getting old?  I found this a hard book to swallow from the first page.  The kids look like 1^st or 2^nd graders, but the only mom in the story send them out to trick or treat alone.  Then they shout and demand and push their way through the neighborhood.  Besides saying “Trick ARRR Treat”, I am confused as to the charm of this picture book.
