Similar to their book Napping House,
this book tells the story of a grandma, grandson, dog, cat and mouse who are
restless and can’t seem to settle in for the night. Once the cricket starts to sing his song, he
soothes the cat who in turn calms the dog, until everyone has been settled in
for the night and they all lay down to go to sleep.
The illustrations are soft and adorable. There is a lot of repeat text which makes it
fun for first time readers. The first
book, The Napping House is a classic and better than this book, but if you
readers like the style of Napping House they will like this.
