Sad, the Dog by Sandy Fussell - ESSENTIAL

Sad, the Dog, is unwanted by his owners, who were given him as a gift one Christmas.  In fact, when the couple moves, they take everything from the house with them – except for Sad.  When a family with a little boy move in, Sad isn’t sure what is going on at first, but quickly he realizes how different and better his life is going to be.

While I am not sure what a family would really do if they moved into a new home and found a dog already living there, Sad is so cute, and so wants to be loved, that I can’t help wanting him to find happiness!
