Marzollo, Jean I Spy an Apple. Scholastic, 2011 $3.99. Content G-Picture Book. This is a “Level 1” Scholastic reader and is also a classic I Spy book. I liked the pictures in the book and also appreciated the simplicity of the pictures. As an owner of other I Spy books, I know how puzzling and frustrating they can be to a small child. This book does not do that. It’s not too overwhelming for early and pre-readers. Pre-KEL(K-3) - OPTIONAL. Shauna, Reading Teacher.
