Flack, Sophie Bunheads, 294pgs. Hachette Book Group, 2011. $17.99. Language: R (42 swears, 5”f”), Mature Content - R; Violence – PG; Hannah Ward wanted to be a dancer for as long as she could remember. She loved the discipline of practice, and the adrenaline rush she got from dancing, that was until she meet a handsome musician named Jacob. Flack did an excellent job portraying the life of a Ballerina. The glamour we see on stage is not the life they lead. The only negative I had with the book was so much language and the sexual situations. Otherwise, the descriptions of the life of a ballerina sucked me in and kept me there. HS – OPTIONAL.
