Hobbs, Will Take Me to the River, 184 pgs. HarperCollins Publishers, 2011. Language - G, Sexual Content - G; Violence - G; Dylan is visiting his cousin Rio and uncle in Texas for a big river trip. When he gets there, though, he finds out that his uncle went to Alaska and Rio wants to go on a longer journey than originally planned. If Dylan goers with it, it will include not telling his parents and risking going into a big storm. Dylan is in. When you start this kind of story, you know that plans are going to be messed up and that it will all work out in the end. What you start reading for is the want for a good story in between what you know. Take Me to the River delivered. I could foresee most of what was going to happen, but I still thought it was great. It was a very intense tale with a very satisfying ending. MS - ADVISABLE. Reviewer: CCH
