Twelve year old Alice Queensmeadow is a
lonely girl who has lost her father whom she truly loves. When a mean boy from school, Oliver, asks
Alice to help him finish his task that the town of Ferenwood has assigned him,
Alice doesn’t want to help him. But when
she realizes that Oliver’s task might lead her to her father, Alice embarks on
a true adventure into Furthermore with Oliver.
I think
Tahereh Mafi is an insanely good author.
Her imagery is magical and this twist on Alice in Wonderland is fun to
read. The character development is well
paced and the ending made me wish this was a series. The audio book reader, Bronson Pinchot, is
very good.
