Cornell, Kevin Go to
Sleep, Monster! Balzer and Bray,
2016. PICTURE BOOK $17.99 Content:
G.
Anna tries to put her brother George
to bed, but he won’t turn out the light because he is scared of the monster
under his bed. When Anna asks the
monster to go to sleep, he is scared of the monster that is under him. As George and Anna try to get to the bottom
of all of the monsters, under monsters (eventually getting to the core of the
earth), they find the “underest under something” monster. He doesn’t want to go to sleep because he is
lonely, so all of the monsters, George and Anna all sleep together.
My boys enjoyed this book, they thought the
different monster illustrations were cute and each had their favorite
monster. The illustrations are adorable
and when they get to the last monster, his being lonely and wanting friends is
cute. In the end, all the monsters are
asleep in George and Anna’s house making for a good bedtime read.
